How to make it at home?

Ingredients:

  • all-purpose flour
  • powdered sugar
  • unsalted butter
  • egg yolk
  • heavy cream
  • salt
  • vanilla extract
  • fresh lemon juice
  • lemon zest
  • granulated sugar
  • eggs
  • creme fraiche

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Prepare the Pastry Crust
  • Take a bowl & Combine the flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
  • Now, add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Mix all until you get a crumbly texture.
  • Take another bowl, mix egg yolk and cream, and then add this mixture to the dough. Stir until it comes together.
  • Give a shape to the dough in a disk, then wrap it in a plastic wrap. Place into a refrigerator for at least an hour.
  • After removing the dough from the refrigerator, then flatten the dough into a circle large enough to fit a 9–10-inch tart pan.  Press it into the pan and trim any excess dough.
  • Poke small holes in the bottom of the crust with the help of a fork & freeze for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Blind bake the crust by lining it with parchment paper and filling it with pie weights or dried beans. Then bake for at least 15 minutes & remove, and bake another side at the same time until golden.
  • Step 2: Make the Lemon Filling
  • Take a medium saucepan and combine lemon juice, zest, sugar, and butter over medium heat. Then stir & wait for the butter to melt & the mixture to make bubbles.
  • Now, whisk eggs and egg yolks in a separate bowl carefully.
  • Now, adding the hot lemon mixtures into the eggs and continuously mixing the eggs will help mix them smoothly and prevent the eggs from cooking too fast.
  • The mixture return to the low heat and cook while stirring until thickened. Then check whether it is ready or not. Dip a spoon into a mixture & if you coat the back of the spoon, it’s ready.
  • To remove the remaining lumps, use a sieve.
  • Step 3: Assemble and Bake
  • Reduce your temperature to about 300°F (150°C).
  • Then, pour the lemon filling into a tart shell, which is baked. Then, beak for about 10 minutes or until the filling is just as set.
  • Then place at room temperature before refrigerating for at least two hours.
  • Step 4: Serve
  • Now your dish is ready to eat!
