Miller and Carter Military Discount: What Is Available
This website is independent and not affiliated with Miller & Carter. Menus and prices vary by restaurant and change over time, so please confirm current details with the restaurant before ordering or booking.
We found no official Miller and Carter military discount. The brand does not run a standing armed forces or veterans programme, and Miller & Carter is not listed as a partner on the Defence Discount Service or the Blue Light Card schemes that we could verify. That does not mean service members pay full price every time: the general offers, voucher codes and loyalty rewards open to everyone still apply. This guide explains what we checked and where the savings are.
What We Checked for a Miller and Carter Military Discount
We looked for a military, armed forces or veterans discount in three places: the official Miller & Carter website, the Defence Discount Service scheme and the Blue Light Card scheme. The official site names only one staff discount: the Miller and Carter NHS discount (10% off the food bill for up to 4 people on presentation of an in date NHS Trust ID card). No military equivalent is published. One voucher information page states plainly that there is no official Miller & Carter military programme, and a widely used discount code site says the chain offers no standard Blue Light Card discount.
Some small voucher aggregator sites claim discounts of up to 25% for military personnel, but we could not verify these against any official source, so treat them as unconfirmed. Because offers can change and individual restaurants sometimes run their own promotions, it is still worth asking your branch when you book. Our booking guide explains how to reserve a table.
The NHS Discount Is for NHS Staff Only
Do not confuse the two. The official NHS discount requires an in date NHS Trust ID card, and the terms name NHS staff only. A Defence Discount Service card or a veteran’s ID is not an NHS Trust ID, so military personnel do not qualify for it on service grounds alone. If you happen to be an NHS worker as well as a veteran or reservist, the NHS terms apply in the normal way. Full details are in our Miller and Carter NHS discount guide.
How Military Personnel Can Still Save
Everything below is open to all diners, including serving personnel and veterans:
| Way to save | How it works |
|---|---|
| Current offers | Seasonal promotions run through the year and anyone can use them |
| Voucher codes | Discount codes for set amounts or percentages off, with published terms |
| Masters of Steak Club | The loyalty app earns points on visits and issues rewards and birthday offers |
| Birthday discount | Birthday rewards have been issued through the app for members |
| Daytime set menus | The fixed price lunch is the cheapest way to eat a full meal there |
Our Miller and Carter offers page tracks the current promotions, and our Miller and Carter vouchers guide explains how codes work. If your birthday is coming up, see our Miller and Carter birthday discount guide. The main menu guide shows the full evening range if you want to plan the meal.
A Mitchells and Butlers Alternative
Miller & Carter is part of the Mitchells & Butlers group, and one of its sister brands does offer a forces discount. MoneySavingExpert reports that Crown Carveries gives 10% off food for armed forces and emergency services on presentation of a Defence Discount Service card or Blue Light card. If you are set on a steakhouse, ask your Miller and Carter branch whether it honours anything similar, since individual restaurants can run local promotions. Otherwise the group wide alternatives are the offers, vouchers and app rewards above.
